1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to Canoru Dance School. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website at canoru.com and all services provided by Canoru Dance School ("we," "our," "us," or "Canoru").

By accessing our website, enrolling in classes, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "Student," "User," or "you") and Canoru Dance School.

2. Eligibility and Enrollment

2.1 Age Requirements

• Students under 18 years of age must have parental or guardian consent to enroll
• Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring accurate information is provided
• Adult classes are open to students 18 years and older

2.2 Enrollment Process

• Enrollment is confirmed upon payment of applicable fees
• All registration forms must be completed accurately and truthfully
• Medical conditions, injuries, or allergies must be disclosed during enrollment
• We reserve the right to refuse enrollment at our discretion

2.3 Class Placement

Class placement is determined by Canoru instructors based on age, experience, and skill level. We reserve the right to move students between classes to ensure appropriate learning environments.

3. Fees and Payment

3.1 Tuition Fees

• All fees are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD)
• Fees are subject to change with 30 days' notice
• Payment is due at the time of enrollment or as specified in your payment plan
• We accept credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers

3.2 Payment Terms

• Term fees must be paid in full before the commencement of classes unless a payment plan is arranged
• Late payments may incur a fee of $25 AUD after 7 days
• Failure to pay may result in suspension from classes
• No refunds for missed classes due to non-payment

3.3 Additional Fees

Additional fees may apply for:

• Performance costumes and accessories
• Competition entries and participation
• Special workshops and masterclasses
• Examination fees
• Late enrollment fees

4. Attendance and Participation

4.1 Class Attendance

• Regular attendance is expected and encouraged
• Students should arrive 10 minutes before class start time
• Late arrivals may not be permitted to join class for safety reasons
• We do not provide make-up classes for student absences

4.2 Absences

• Please notify us of absences as soon as possible
• Extended absences (more than 3 consecutive weeks) should be communicated in writing
• No refunds or credits for missed classes due to student absence

4.3 School Closures

We will provide make-up classes or credits for closures due to:

• Public holidays (as published in our schedule)
• Instructor illness or emergency
• Facility issues
• Severe weather or natural disasters

5. Cancellation and Withdrawal

5.1 Student Withdrawal

• Written notice of withdrawal must be provided at least 14 days before the end of the term
• Refunds are subject to our Refund Policy
• No refunds for withdrawals after term commencement without valid medical reasons

5.2 Canoru Cancellation Rights

We reserve the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment (minimum 5 students). In such cases, full refunds will be provided or students may transfer to alternative classes.

6. Code of Conduct

6.1 Expected Behavior

All students, parents, and visitors must:

• Treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with respect
• Follow instructor directions and safety guidelines
• Wear appropriate dance attire and footwear
• Maintain personal hygiene
• Refrain from disruptive behavior
• Not use mobile phones during class
• Respect studio property and equipment

6.2 Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

• Bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind
• Violence or threats of violence
• Use of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco on premises
• Theft or vandalism
• Photography or video recording without permission
• Inappropriate language or behavior

6.3 Disciplinary Action

Violation of our Code of Conduct may result in:

• Verbal or written warning
• Temporary suspension from classes
• Permanent expulsion without refund
• Legal action if appropriate

7. Health and Safety

7.1 Medical Disclosure

Students must disclose all relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or medications that may affect participation. Failure to disclose may result in dismissal from classes.

7.2 Assumption of Risk

7.3 Insurance

Students are encouraged to maintain personal health and accident insurance. Canoru Dance School carries public liability insurance but is not responsible for individual medical expenses.

7.4 Emergency Procedures

• Emergency contact information must be current and accurate
• In case of injury, we will provide first aid and contact emergency services if necessary
• Parents/guardians will be notified immediately of any incidents

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Choreography and Materials

All choreography, class materials, music compilations, and teaching methods are the intellectual property of Canoru Dance School and its instructors. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is strictly prohibited.

8.2 Website Content

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and graphics, is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute this content without written permission.

9. Photography and Media

9.1 Consent

By enrolling, you grant permission for Canoru to photograph and video record students during classes, rehearsals, and performances for:

• Promotional and marketing purposes
• Social media posting
• Website use
• Internal documentation

9.2 Opt-Out

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify us in writing. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate this request, though complete exclusion cannot be guaranteed in group settings.

10. Liability and Indemnification

10.1 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canoru Dance School, its directors, instructors, and employees shall not be liable for:

• Personal injury or property damage during classes or events
• Loss or theft of personal belongings
• Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
• Damages exceeding the amount paid for services

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Canoru Dance School from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.

14. Performances and Events

14.1 Participation

• Performance participation may require additional fees for costumes and production costs
• Students must commit to all rehearsals and performances once enrolled
• Attendance at dress rehearsals is mandatory

14.2 Ticketing

• Performance tickets are subject to separate terms and conditions
• Complimentary tickets may be provided to performing students
• Additional tickets must be purchased

16. Modifications to Terms

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Canoru Dance School regarding the use of our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

21. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
